Marjorie Whitley is a singer-songwriter and creative entrepreneur from Atlanta Georgia. Her passion is using her creativity to reveal to the world the beauty of the Kingdom of heaven. Coming from a background in the creative arts - music, drama, photography, and creative writing - she combines these elements to open up a portal for the world to experience the kingdom in a fresh imaginative way.
Her passion for the kingdom began when her heart was opened to the wonderful world of the prophetic. Visions and dreams from God. Hours spent joyfully receiving the fruits of heaven. And now it’s all coming together through music, creative writing, and photography.
She is a one woman band in the studio. She writes, records, produces, and engineers all of her music. Her music genres expand from Folk-Rock, Christian, Soaking Worship, and Ambient Celtic infusion. She just finished working on new Celtic relaxing tracks that compliment her latest EP ANGEL WINGS.
A delightful composite of music with harps, flutes, vocals and guitar that weave stories about peace, comfort, and joy.
Spanning multiple decades as an artist, Marjorie’s music style has been honed into a kaleidoscope of sound. Late 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s were the foundation of her songwriting education. She is self taught except for piano lessons as a child, flute in the school years, private voice lessons, and a few guitar lessons here and there.
It was always her dream to become a singer - songwriter. She had a brief stent in Nashville where she rubbed elbows with some Nashville movers and shakers, but decided that country music was not the right fit for her.
Upon her return to Atlanta, she totally immersed herself in her church where she found worship leading much to her liking. It seemed that was going to be her path until she discovered that she enjoyed creating a writing her own style of music and story telling to sing about her greatest passion. The Kingdom of Heaven!
