Christian Meditation,  My Spiritual Groove

Mind, Body, Spirit, Sleep.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Renewing and refreshing your mind is a process that God does in you each day, and night, when you choose to spend time with him. Spending time with him releases peace and calm to your mind, body, and spirit. Each day of your life is filled with business. Your mind is like a never-ending list of things that you need to do. How often have you been exhausted and sure that you will fall fast asleep, only to find that your mind is still running with the thoughts of the day?

This cuts into your valuable 8 hours of precious sleep.

Here are some great benefits to spending time with God before Bed

  • Release your frustrations of the day.
  • Shift your focus from anxiety to peace.
  • Cover tomorrow’s troubles.
  • Allow him to refresh you while you sleep.

Amazing things happen to you when you sleep. Besides the rest and healing that goes on with you physically, when you invite God into your sleep, he refreshes your mind and spirit!

When you are asleep you are less resistant to things he wants to say to you. He will speak to you in dreams. Have you ever had a dream that when you woke up you knew that God was speaking to you? When he taps into your subconscious mind, it reveals where your true heart is.

Gentle spirit-led music and stories being played just before sleep, or during, allows God to sing over you. He sings over you without that too, but putting this audibly into your space releases a worship atmosphere into your home. Worship releases angles and the spirit of God soon follows. It’s like a cleansing, not only for your mind, body, and spirit but cleansing for the atmosphere around you!
