Fasting for a Harvest: Embracing Your Calling

The Lord put it on my heart this week to fast and pray for the lost and broken. Here is what I heard him say in day 1 of my fast. He is also calling for all of us to fast as well …

Here is what I felt in my spirit as I was praying and then He gave me a word:

We are about to see the biggest harvest the world has ever seen. God is going to open up the doors for a huge harvest but He needs harvesters and warriors to step up to the plate and take their positions. He is giving grace to those who understand their calling in the marketplace and the workplace and everywhere else that He places people in life. He can use anyone anywhere because people are everywhere. The lost are everywhere. He just needs hearts that are willing to be vessels wherever they go.

How does this manifest?

For some He called to be preachers, teachers, prophets, evangelists – you just need to step into the call on your life.

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” — Ephesians 4:11-12 NIV

Does this mean that you are going to stand behind a pulpit and preach? Does this mean that you are going to prophesy to large crowds or be like Elijah?

Could be … but God needs all of those gifts out in the marketplace, in your home, in your business, in your job … wherever you are … where the people are … that is your mission field!

The Word On Day One

Just as Esther fasted an prayed for the salvation of her people, I am calling intercessors to fast and pray as a nation to save the lost, broken and wounded. I need my children to go into the by ways and highways of the world. I need them to go into places where many will not go.

Can you recognize the faces that do no know me? Do you know the hearts that are hurting and in pain? You cannot because only I can see into the hearts of men. I need my people to humble themselves and pray for those around them, then I can show them who are the hurting and broken.

You must get before me as a nation and lift up those around you. My door is always open but you must enter through my son. And many do not know my son. This hour us crucial. For the day is coming when hearts will reject me and it will be too late.
