The Story Behind Come To Me

Matthew 11: ²⁸“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

It was an ordinary day for me spending time with the Lord. I t was my habit to set aside time for him to just let him speak. No expectations. No urgent prayer. Just me an Jesus talking about whatever was on his mind.

I was accustomed at this point in my life with him of seeing visions and getting words of knowledge, but what I saw on this day was truly unique. Each journey with the Lord is unique for all of us. He knows every facet and gift that he has given to us all to be used for the kingdom. Part of my gifting includes music, singing, and songwriting,

I never dreamed in a million years that Jesus was a musician and song writer himself. I don’t know why this never occurred to me considering he created everything and every expression that human beings can create, and he is the master of them all! As I was sitting with him I saw him in this vision playing a flute! I remember just sitting there being mesmerized and literally saying

” I didn’t know you could do that!”

Then he started singing! Yes. Singing! The words he was singing are what became my song Come To Me. As he began his song I immediately grabbed my laptop so I could write down all he I heard him saying. He was also singing this beautiful melody that I just could not replicate.

So, Come To Me became my first co-write with the Lord! The entire album Angle Wings is basically a co-write prophetic album. Each song came from his heart during my quiet time with him. And I honored it by playing a flute.
