Fragile: A Worship Song About Healing and the Holy Spirit
It’s okay to be broken. It’s okay to not be perfect. So many times, people think that God will only listen to their prayers if they are in a perfect, whole place. This is actually the opposite of the truth. My mind is filled with example after example of the people in the Bible that God used and heard who were far from perfect. If God only wanted to use perfect people, then our relationship with Him would be based on performance. That would completely defeat the purpose of a Savior.
It’s the daily walking and building of relationships that God wants. In those times when you feel sad, hurt, or lost are the moments when God wants to be a part of your life the most. He doesn’t want you to run away from Him and hide like Adam and Eve did. He wants to hold you in that imperfection and be the one who heals you.
This week I’m sharing something very close to my heart.
A few years ago I wrote a song called Fragile during one of the most tender and transformative seasons of my life — a season where God began healing parts of my heart I had kept guarded for a very long time. I’m reviving it this week because I believe someone reading this needs it right now.
This isn’t just a song. It’s a testimony of what God does when we stop pretending we’re strong and finally let Him meet us in our weakness. The breaking. The surrender. The way He gently restores what we think is too damaged to ever be whole again.
Lyrics To Fragile
Hold me, hold me
I need you to hold me
Gently in your arms
My heart is fragile
Shelter me from harm
Love me, love me
I need you to love me
Love me as your own
My love is fragile
Ease my weary soul
Take me, take me
I need you to take me
Take me as I am
I am so fragile
Hold me gently in your hands

If you’re walking through a healing season right now — if your heart feels fragile, tender, or too broken to be whole again — I want you to hear this today:
You are not behind. You are not forgotten. God is close to the fragile places.
He is not waiting for you to be stronger before He draws near. He is drawn to your weakness. He meets you exactly there.
