Scripture
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
Who are the broken hearted?
So, who are the broken and hurting people? Well, the broken and hurting people are people that are all around you. All you have to do is look on the internet and you can see people that are so wounded and so broken, and you can see they don’t know the Lord.
These people are crying out to be loved.
So it is critical in this season that we spend time with God to be filled with love so that we can go out in this army of love, so that these people can see the real Jesus.
Everyone has a different calling and everybody has a different destiny. But part of everyone’s destiny is to love and to share the love of God with a hurting world.
Reflection
- Who in your own life fits this description of broken and hurting?
- What would it look like this week to spend time with God so you’re filled up to pour out to others?
- How is loving others part of the destiny God has specifically for you?
A Prayer to reach the hurting
Lord, fill me with Your love so I can pour it out to the broken and hurting people around me. Open my eyes to see who You’ve placed in my path, and give me the courage to love them the way You do. Amen.
