What Is the Prophetic, Really?
The prophetic seems like a strange and mysterious thing. For most people, it’s only something that is found in the Bible. From the Old Testament to the New, the Bible is filled with prophetic words from the likes of Elijah to Jesus to John to finish out the book of Revelation.

Did the Prophetic Stop?
There are some who have been taught that all prophetic words, dreams and visions, and words of knowledge all stopped after the last apostle. This is erroneous thinking. God never stopped speaking. Why would He choose to stop communicating with His people?
If you are in the first camp, then reading further might go against your grain, because I am in the camp that lives and breathes the prophetic. To me, it is the most exciting thing! I love hearing God’s voice — not just for me, but for others and for the church at large.

My Journey with Dreams, Visions, and Prophetic Songwriting
I get dreams and visions. I get words of knowledge. And I love to write songs prophetically. Many times in my quiet time with God, I will hear Him speak something or give me a vision, and I will write about it. My entire album Angel Wings was written that way! Listen here…
It’s Not as Mysterious as You Think
The prophetic is actually not that mysterious once you’ve been around it a while and understand that is how God communicates with us. Have you ever had a certain knowing in your spirit while praying? That is a form of the prophetic. It is God speaking to you through the Spirit.
Have you ever had a dream that, when you woke up from it, you knew it was God speaking to you? That is also being sent through the spirit realm.
Prophetic Art From Visions and Dreams I’ve Had
How It Snowballed
This is how it started with me, and then it snowballed. I pursued hearing the voice of God like a famished person who hadn’t eaten in years. And what’s interesting about that is that it is like food — it’s being fed spiritually by God. It is food for our spirit.
