God Doesn’t Want Your Perfection.

You Were Made With Love: God’s Recipe for You…

Have you ever taken the time to prepare a meal? I’m not talking about anything simple. I mean, a big meal for multiple guests? I’m going to assume that if you have raised a family or have been a part of one, then the answer is yes. Do you remember how excited you were about each dish and how they would all work together?

When God sat down to create you, he had the same feelings. He wanted everything to be perfect. He thought about the color of your hair, your smile, even the freckles or other distinguishing marks on your face. He thought about your eye color and even the tiny things that you don’t like about yourself.

God created you perfectly, even though there are tiny flaws that you don’t like. Even though he made you perfectly, perfection is not what he desires from you. He desires a relationship. He wants to hear all about your day, the good and the bad. He wants to be the solution to your problems.

Yes, God is capable of handling everything in your life, but you have to invite him into it.

I can almost feel the fear that that brings to some people.

If God could see my imperfections, then surely he would reject me!

But that is the furthest thing from the truth. God knows you are imperfect. And he knows you make mistakes, and he loves you even in your imperfections and flaws.
