I Believe I Receive – A Journey of Faith and Miracles

Have you ever believed God for something really big?

I’m believing right now for something bigger than I ever have.

Let me take you back a few steps. Almost 2 years to be exact.

My dentist informed me that I needed serious dental work—seven crowns, to be exact. I just had one crown put on one of my molars, then my dentist dropped a bomb on me: “You need at least seven more.”

Something inside me just rose up and said, “No way!”

I’m DONE!

You see, I go to a faith and grace church, and we believe that God was serious when He said:

“If you believe with all your heart in what you ask for, you have already received it… and with the faith of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain.”

I have heard that scripture my whole life. I just felt in my heart that it was time to take Jesus at his word.

Choosing to Believe

I took what Jesus said in Mark 11 as absolute truth. But let me tell you—deciding to believe was only the beginning. I struggled. Not with believing God could do it—He’s God!—but with believing He would do it for me. Doubts crept in. Obstacles rose up. It wasn’t easy.

Thankfully, I have the best pastors in the world. I gave them a call, told them I was struggling, and they poured so much truth and encouragement into me. That conversation became a lifeline—and ultimately, the song.

Writing the Song: “I Believe I Receive”

I didn’t want to forget what they said. I needed something I could come back to—something I could sing over myself when doubt crept in. So I wrote a song. It became my praise and my declaration.

The song “I Believe I Receive” is more than just a melody—it’s my belief. It’s how I held on to, and still hold onto faith when everything in the natural tells me this is crazy.

God’s Promise

In the middle of all this, having my pastors lay hands on me and anoint me with oil, I heard the Lord speak clearly:
“I’m going to restore all of your teeth.”

Just like He created Adam and Eve, He told me He would re-create and restore all of my teeth. What a promise! And yet, as I clung to it, I realized something even deeper was happening.

More Than a Miracle

This journey wasn’t just about dental work—though believe me, that would be miracle enough. It was about growing in faith and confidence. It was about learning to trust God with things that are too big for humans to fix.

And it’s not just about me.

I believe God is inviting all of us to trust Him for the “impossible”—to believe for miracles, to step out in boldness, to walk in the kind of faith Jesus talked about when He said:

“Greater things than this you shall do.”

These are the impressions I had when I was writing the song ..

He didn’t come to this earth and go through all he did just to blow smoke at us. He meant what he said. He wants us to heal the sick, open blind eyes, and raise the dead!

Whatever mountain you’re facing, I pray my story and my song remind you that through our faith, God still moves mountains.

What I’ve  learned in this process:

God doesn’t just want us to believe and receive, he wants us to receive it to turn it around and give what we have gotten: heal the sick, open blind eyes, raise the dead .. and many more miracles!

Greater things than he has done WE shall do!

It all starts with our first steps of knocking and asking. This gets our faith started. Just like a seed. Everything in the kingdom of God is like a seed that sprouts from the ground and grows. Often things have to start small. As your faith grows through receiving – you become confident to ask for bigger things!

He still heals. He still restores. He still answers big, bold prayers.

But he wants US to have the confidence that WE will do greater things than he did while he was on this earth … that totally blows my mind!

What are you believing God for?
