Angels!

Over the years, the Lord has given me the honor of seeing angels in my visions. I’ve had encounters with them in these visions as well.

The main thing I can tell you about them is their ONLY desire is to serve God, and that usually means ministering to us. They do NOT like getting attention. They do NOT like being glorified.*

Right now, the forces of darkness are trying to cover us with a thick cloud of gloom and hopelessness. He works through an army of minions that were booted out of heaven with him. They have been using the same bag of tricks to discourage and crush humanity since the Garden of Eden.

I personally, had gone for weeks without really noticing that my sense of hope and excitement about life had ebbed. Where did this feeling of lack come from? 

Pursuing the Spirit

I made a conscious choice to praise God every day until I broke through and felt the heaviness go. There are lots of ways to break into the spirit realm. You can sing praises to God from the Psalms, or you can make up your own song with your own words.

Today, I praised God with my prayer tongue. Yes. I do pray in tongues. It’s real. It’s the fastest way to get the edge in a spiritual battle! Depression, discouragement, and fear are all tactics of the forces of darkness.

After a few minutes of doing this, I broke through and got a vision. I saw a magnificent rainbow arching through the sky and a river flowing by that was filled with life. As I stood and took a breath, I could feel joy and hope filling the inside of me. I could feel eternal life and nothing but good things. No death or darkness.

I didn’t realize how much I missed the taste of joy inside of me!

Ways God Uses Angels To Help Us

It’s also a habit of mine to talk to the Lord while I’m on my walk. I try to make sure no one is around in case they think I’m just a crazy person talking to myself. As I was talking to him all of the sudden I saw with my spiritual eyes an angel walking in front of me.

It was walking backward as it was looking at me and smiling. He was so full of joy. The Lord told me it was an angel of joy. It made me laugh and smile. It felt so good!

This little guy stayed with me after I got home too and I began praying again.  It was singing a little song this time. Here is what I heard it say.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. 

Sing to the nations a song of Joy.

For the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Forget about gloom and despair, for there is no room for them here.

Like a sparkling gem glistening in the sun, the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Sing praises to his name and drink in the joy like liquid gold. 

Can you see the rainbow on the horizon and the river of life? 

This angel of joy was with me with the first vision that day and continued with me throughout the day. If you’re feeling down or full of anxiety, lift up your voice and sing to the Lord! He may send you an angel of joy too!

*If you ever encounter an angel who is seeking attention or wants you to worship them beware that you are encountering a fallen angel. Yes, a third of the angels did fall from heaven. They were cast out and sent right here to earth along with the head worship angel at the time, Lucifer  … it’s in the bible if you don’t believe me … Check out this reference.  We often refer to him as the Enemy because he hates all of humanity and is the enemy of God.
