Flowers That Bloom In Your Soul.

Rain has a profound soothing effect on the soul. I remember warm, rainy, summer days as a child in my hot and humid southern part of the United States. I remember having the windows open because we had no air conditioning. The rain would tap on the window sill and a distant rumble of thunder would roll across the gray skies. I loved to just sit and listen to it and feel the cooling breeze that blew into the window. It was always such a relief to the scorching heat of summer.

Those are what we called soaking rains. Nice gentle rain that the grass and trees soaked up, and the days that followed produced the most beautiful green grass and flowers.

There is another kind of soaking rain that has the same effect on your spirit and your mind. This rain comes from heaven. This rain comes down into your spirit and soaks the hard places in your heart. Hard places can be difficult events from the past that still cause pain. They can be stress from life struggles.

On the day that I wrote this song, I was feeling a need in the spirit. I was feeling that the world was crying out for relief. I knew that the only real peace comes from God. I knew that he had a message that he wanted to send to those who were crying out.

After I made the music for this track I turned on the mic in my studio and just let the Lord speak through my singing. I wanted to let his message come through.

This song is for YOU. This is your soaking moment from the rain of heaven. Find a nice relaxing spot and allow the rain of heaven to heal the hard places and let the beautiful green grass and flowers bloom in your soul.
