Young David faces the armored giant Goliath with a sling and stone.
from the 2026 prophetic word …
Before David ever stood in front of Goliath, he was a shepherd boy in a field, alone with his sheep and alone with God. Nobody was watching him then. That’s exactly where the Lord points us in this word:
“When King David went into battle, he did not rush in to conquer things in his own strength. He knew the power of My presence and wisdom as he spent years of his life worshiping Me. That is what this nation needs to learn.”
The battle in the valley was never really the beginning of David’s story — the years in the field were. Long before Goliath, David was building something with God that nobody else could see. That’s the part of the story we tend to skip past, but it’s the part God is pointing to here:
“There are forces on this earth that want to destroy this land and what I have built. This operation can’t be done without Me. Just like David, think of David. He never went into battle without Me. He never lost a battle.”
“His first battle was to take down a giant. That is what I’m doing right now. I am taking down the giant. When I cut off the head of the giant, the world will see My David as he truly is.”
The point of the whole story was never really David — it was always who was fighting through him. That’s the part God makes sure to say plainly:
“The nations will not ridicule him, for they will know that his power comes from Me. I am the swift wind that is coming. It is Me.”
You don’t need a battlefield to start where David started. It begins the same way it did for him — in the quiet, before anyone’s watching, with the Lord. That’s the invitation in His closing words:
“Oh My children, listen to Me. Turn your ears to hear Me. It is your only hope and your future. Are you My David? Are you My warriors?”
The three short bridge paragraphs (before “Not in His Own Strength,” before “Taking Down the Giant” section title itself needs none, and before “Are You My David?”) are the only new writing — everything in quotes is untouched. Want me to trim those further, or does this land where you wanted it?
