Jesus Is My Hero

I’ve been on a long journey with the Lord. So many things in my life were I needed answers. It’s so tempting to go to the world to find those answers.

Did you ever have a favorite super hero? When I was a kid Batman and Superman were very popular tv shows. Each week the hero would come rushing in at the last minute to save the world. Super heroes are fun to watch on tv but I always knew that they were not real.

In real life I had to find the answers to my real problems all by myself. No caped crusader was going to jump in from the shadows or fly through the sky to make everything all right.

But, wait a minute. Maybe there was .. and is a super hero who could fly in and save the day! The difference with this superhero is that he wants to be a part of my life. He doesn’t just want to swoop in at the last minute and then fly off again.

He wants to help me find the answers. He wants to right all the wrongs. He wants me to discover my own gifts and abilities to right all the wrongs done to others as well ..

As you may have guessed this super hero’s name is Jesus … and Jesus is my hero!

That phrase popped out of my mouth one day as I was overwhelmed with awe at how He healed my foot from plantar fasciitis. He is so amazingly good that I just blurted out .. Jesus is my hero!

And the idea for the t-shirt was born …
